Revelry

Brief to design for Spring/Summer 2020, with ‘revelry’ as the inspiration ‘a situation in which people are drinking, dancing, singing, etc. at a party or in public, especially in a noisy way’- Cambridge dictionary. Inspired by the London night life specifically looking at the buildings surrounding the clubs. Hope used a range of materials, experimenting with specialist yarns such as reflective thread. Combining lurex and cotton. Hand dyed Ikat woven experimenting with natural indigo dye and lime green direct dye. Using cotton as a base to reinvent denim.
